ALDERLEY Edge has witnessed many changes over the years particularly in food and drink.
There's also an open fire, a deli-style smokehouse menu with rotisserie, and an external barbecue for year round al-fresco dining the walled garden.
On Wednesday 2 October, The New World Pub Company ( a Living Ventures product) opened their pub, The Botanist. This follows the model of their phenomenally successful Oast House in Spinningfields in the city centre.
The Botanist takes over the site of Number 15 Wine Bar, the aspiration is to become as well-known and popular as its illustrious predecessor.

Tim Bacon, Managing Director of Living Ventures says: “The Oast House in Manchester has established a very strong following in a short space of time so I’m confident we will achieve the same with The Botanist and bring No 15 back to life."
In addition to cask-conditioned ales (which might suprise a cocktail and lager laden village) there are around 50 bottled beers and ciders from around the world and a selection of Champagnes, wines and spirits.
