Special blind-tasting sessions celebrate Manchester Food & Drink Festival
CELEBRATING Manchester Food & Drink Festival’s twentieth anniversary, the Corn Exchange branch of Italian eaterie Vapiano is putting on two very special evenings – featuring blind tastings from the latest food menu. The go-to place for pizza and pasta has held similar events in the past and they’re a lot of laughs, so be sure to book your tickets soon before they sell out.
The twentieth annual Manchester Food & Drink Festival runs from 28 September to 9 October, and Vapiano will be holding its famous blind-tasting sessions on Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 October. Starting at 6.30pm, they’re perfect for an after-work treat – as well as being a great chance to test out your foodie knowledge.
Think you can tell your veg apart? How about the herbs? Easy when you can see the food you’re eating – not so easy when you can’t. You’d be surprised how much you can get wrong when you can’t see what’s on your plate – and this is an interesting, enjoyable and tasty way to find out just how much.
You’ll be given a blindfold (and a bib!) to wear, then get the chance to taste various dishes from Vapiano’s starters and salads, pasta plates and pizzas, and even the dolci sweet selection. The ticket price includes all this, along with a few drinks – and a whole lot of fun.
Can you spot a fig when you can’t see it? Here’s your chance to find out.
