Happily, Scene have now bought this fantastic custom to Manchester, with their Take Me Out Tiffins. True to tradition, they boast three layers; a tantalising starter, an authentic-style curry and accompanying rice dish. Made according to local recipes, in Scene’s open-plan theatre kitchen, they are delivered by Manchester’s own ‘wallahs’ at Deliveroo for just £9 or can be picked up at the restaurant for £8.
Tiffins aren’t restricted to lunchtimes either, being available to purchase any time between midday and 5.30pm. Quick and affordable, they’re ideal for office deliveries; what better way to pep up those dreary corporate meetings or long commutes?
Unlike the modest sandwich, these versatile boxes even work well as an early evening meal with friends and family. When the Manchester Confidential team ordered in a delivery last week, we were mightily impressed. Whilst most enjoyed the chicken Rogan Josh, our vegetarians were catered for with a healthy vegetable equivalent. Plus, there’s a different flavour to try for each weekday; more than enough incentive to order in again...
