WHEN we sent Emma to Scene to pick up our lunch, she returned laden with goodies. Even though it was a veritable street food banquet, there still wasn't a crumb left by the time we'd finished. It really was that delicious.

Dipped in the aromatic and fiery chickpea and potato curry, each mouthful was pure bliss

I adored the bhatura, a Punjab speciality of deep-fried bread, when I ate in the restaurant so when I saw that being unwrapped, I dived on it like a hungry pterodactyl.

It was just as good as I'd remembered. Dipped in the aromatic and fiery chickpea and potato curry, each mouthful was pure bliss.

The chilli chicken was a firm favourite in the office. The meat was beautifully moist, the sauce was glossy, the batter was light and as you ate it, all was well with the world. The taste was all chilli, garlic, well-being and satisfaction.

The lamb thalis and the chicken thalis were a real treat, accompanied by a vibrant pea and potato dish, onion bhajis and salad.

We also enjoyed poppadom and dips that were ideal snacking material. I could have kept on snacking on the moreish morsels all afternoon if it wasn't for the fact that we'd demolished the lot.

With convenient collection, it's easy to enjoy great-tasting thalis, bhajis and authentic Indian street food at home or in the office.
