Scene Indian Street Kitchen served up an early Christmas treat for The Booth Centre yesterday afternoon (15th December) and cooked nearly £1000 worth of food for the centre’s regulars.

We’re delighted that we could give something back to the community and cook our food for the Booth Centre

This heart warming gesture from the restaurant saw Scene’s kitchen staff and management head to The Booth Centre to cook and serve over 70 lunches for the Manchester homeless community and those in need. There wasn’t a leftover in sight as people tucked into their lunch leaving rave reviews with Managing Director, Asif Ali, as they handed in their empty plates.

Regular at the centre, Paule said:
“This food is incredible, compliments to the chef! I could have a few more plates of this. It had the right amount of spice and the rice was out of this world. Thank you so much to those at Scene for making us amazing food.”

With temperatures plunging across the city, Scene Indian Street Kitchen, located in Spinningfields, hopes that they can use their business to help those in need who find themselves homeless over the festive season and give back to the local community. Scene will use this as a starting point for future ventures with The Booth Centre and other charities across Manchester and the North West in order to give back and undertake their corporate social responsibility.
