IT’S already one of Manchester’s most vibrant districts, but Spinningfields is set to become even more colourful this month as Through No.3 launches on Wednesday 25 November.

Castlefield Gallery’s Kwong Lee commissioned the resplendent piece, which marks the latest in a series of curated Pillar Events for Manchester's business quarter and the beginning of a public realm art series for 2016.
Allied London Chief Executive and Spinningfields developer, Michael Ingall, said: "Liz West’s Through No.3 is the first piece of bespoke public art commissioned for Spinningfields.
"Commissioning art that evokes real emotion within the public realm is a difficult task - Liz West has responded to this with exceptional creativity. We are delighted to be working with her on Spinningfields debut public art pillar event."
World-renowned artist Liz West, who will be in residence at the Light & Building trade fair in Frankfurt next year, added: “It’s a real honour to be the first artist asked to create an installation for Spinningfields. It’s been a challenging and exciting project to undertake and I’m really looking forward to revealing the finished piece”.
