MANCHESTER'S long standing celebrity hairstylist, Reuben Wood, revealed his new Northern Quarter salon to the city’s creatives and famous faces this week.
Following Wood’s successful decade on Manchester's High Street with his first salon, Reuben Wood Creatives will become a multi-functional space for hairstyling and photography on Stevenson Square.
Guests also included comedian and actor, John Thomson
The salon, a converted space within a historical textile building, will allow Wood and co-owner Karl Collins to combine passions for hair and photography, and 'create, educate and collaborate' with Manchester's models and upcoming creative talent.
The event organised by Vital Management PR, saw actress Michelle Keegan and fiancé Mark Wright join to mark the occasion, along with models from local agency, Nemesis.

Reuben said: “After ten very successful years at the High Street in Manchester the time had come to open another salon, and I really wanted to do this combining my passions in life: hairdressing, fashion and photography.
“I have never been to a salon that doubles as a photographic studio before, however in the early days of setting up Creatives and scouting for the right building, we were told about 'Stolen' in the Czech Republic, which is a salon come studio, so we took a lot of inspiration from this concept.
“We needed the second salon to be a multi functional space, with a high-end look that could easily be changed and moved around to become a full studio or a hairdressing eduction space.
Karl said: “Photography started out as a keen hobby for me and is now my career. I tend to concentrate on beauty and fashion photography, as this goes hand in hand with the work we do over the two salons.
I love this space and how it functions as both the salon and a studio. It's our playground and genuinely makes us both excited to go to work in the morning.
