Over in Whitefield, the team at Ivory Bar & Grill is taking their pan-Asian and Modern European offer into the summer months with an extended sandwich and salad list, more small plates to share, and a new set menu from which you can get a main and a drink for less than a tenner.
Every day between 12 noon and 4pm, you can pick one main dish from the special offer menu and match it with a drink for just £9.95 – perfect for a cheap and easy sit-down lunch.
There’s a big Asian influence at Ivory, with plenty of punchy Thai flavours, Chinese cooking techniques like stir-fry and Japanese-inspired dishes, such as katsu curry. East meets West with some Spanish-style tapas, Mediterranean-influenced seafood salads, American diner-inspired barbecue ribs with slaw and wedge chips, and good old British steaks, so there’s something for everyone.
