Open from noon until late on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, No. 1 Watson Street is perfect for grabbing a tasty bite before getting on with the serious business of trying out the bar offer.
No. 1 Watson Street prides itself on its craft pizzas – we’re partial to the veggie Funghi, topped with sautéed chestnut mushrooms, blue cheese and truffle oil, although the Mac’n’Cheese white pizza is also on our wish-list
Craft beers are a speciality, with an ever-changing list of over 60 beers and ciders (including 12 on draft plus 2 cask lines), and No. 1 Watson Street supports many local brewers such as Cloudwater, Blackjack and Red Willow.
There are also cocktails, from specials like the Painkiller to classics like Mojitos and Espresso Martinis – if you can’t see what you want, just ask your server and they’ll be happy to rustle it up for you.
On the food side of things, No. 1 Watson Street prides itself on its craft pizzas, hand-stretched and stone-baked in house – we’re partial to the veggie Funghi, topped with sautéed chestnut mushrooms, blue cheese and truffle oil, although the Mac’n’Cheese white pizza is also on our wish-list.
In addition, the menu includes American diner-style speciality burgers, which you can double up patty-wise for just £2 extra, and soul food, including ribs, wings and so-fried things. For flavours, think homemade smoky BBQ sauce, classic house ’slaw, and the finger-licking Deep South buttermilk and cornmeal-coated chicken.
