SAN CARLO, the restaurant group that rekindled the North West's passion for Italian food, are set to open the doors to their latest Manchester operation on Thursday 27 November (Note: this date has been pushed back from the original date on Tuesday 25 November)

San Carlo Fumo - the fifth city site for the family-owned group - will occupy a grand 5,500sq ft site in the striking and soon-to-open One St Peter's Square opposite Central Library.
Spread over two floors and linked by a feature 'sweeping staircase', the new glossy and modern San Carlo will house a restaurant, cocktail bar/late lounge and outdoor terrace (see main image).
Fumo - pulling together winning elements from their other brands including Cicchetti on King Street West and Selfridge's Bottega - promises to be whatever you want it to be; whether that's a plush spot for brunch, quaffing cocktails and propping up the bar (headed up by Alessandro Distefano, son of founder Carlo), a quick Cichetti-brand small plate lunch or the full sit-down, three-course, all-Italian bells'n'whistles.

Open seven days a week from breakfast through to dinner with late opening hours on Friday and Saturday.
