Everything else at the eating, drinking and ‘lifestyle’ venue is still the same

After a hugely successful initial six weeks, which have seen Wilderness Bar + Kitchen receive several favourable local and national reviews, the Thomas Street ‘bar without borders’ has decided to change its name to Wolf At The Door.

The owners, including Dan Morris (ex Cottonopolis and Trof Group), Mat Lake and Bart Murphy (both of Junkyard Golf Club and Bunny Jacksons) and Lyndon Higginson (Liars Group, Junkyard & Bunny Jacksons), recently became aware of The Wilderness in Birmingham, a rock and roll fine dining concept in the city’s Jewellery Quarter.

Both establishments share a strong commitment to seasonal ingredients and exceptional cooking, and so to avoid potential confusion, Wilderness Bar + Kitchen has decided to rename itself.

Owner Dan Morris said: “Since we first heard about The Wilderness in Birmingham, we have taken some time to get to know them and what they do. It is great to see like-minded people doing so well and we decided that as we both have big ambitions for the future it is best to make this change today. The offering, design and ethos of our space will all remain the same and we will continue to look forwards and do our best to make Wolf At The Door a really special place that we can be proud of.”

Wolf At The Door features a first floor cocktail bar designed to remove barriers between those making the drinks and those enjoying them. The ground floor bar is headed up by Adam Day, who has developed a natural cocktail menu pairing house made ingredients, seasonal produce and quality spirits using traditional and cutting edge techniques. Wilderness, sorry, Wolf At The Door, also earned a nomination for ‘Avant Garde Cocktail Menu’ in the Imbibe Drinks List of the Year awards.
