EASYJET's budget hotel group, easyHotel, have acquired Bradley House (aka 'The Flatiron' building) at the junction of Northern Quarter's Dale Street and Newton Street.

Manchester has international tourism, good economic growth, a large population and successful universities

It is estimated that the purchase and future conversion of the building will cost easyHotel and it's owner, easyJet founder Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, somewhere in the region of £6m.

The hotel group will convert the Grade II-listed building - built c. 1850 and used as both a shipping warehouse and hat factory in the late nineteeth century - into a 114-bedroom hotel.

Should the group's planning application be approved, the new hotel is due to open in summer 2016.
