CASTLEFIELD will launch their first ever weekend food festival at the Castlefield Bowl from Friday 15 May to Sunday 17 May.

What's more, entry is free but if you register now and download the voucher, you can enjoy a free drink too courtesy of Manchester Confidential and Festwich.

Thousands are expected to attend the Castlefield Food Festival which will feature: a world and farmers' market, a chef's demo kitchen, live music and street food stalls.

Local chef and 'Champion of the North' Robert Owen Brown, Confidential's Mark 'Gordo' Garner and Kate 'No Nickname' Goodman from BBC's Food & Drink show will take to the demo kitchen, while Dukes 92, Dimitris and Veeno will host pop-up restaurants around the Bowl.

To accompany the grub, the Castlefield Food Festival will host a programme of entertainment across the weekend including Quentin Tarantino Tribute Band, A Band Apart, and an evening of Spanish music brought to you by funky Spanish crossover band, Festejar, featuring 'Break Latino'.
