THE National Football Museum is officially open. Guests including footballing greats Sir Bobby Charlton, Sir Geoff Hurst and Sir Trevor Brooking, were among guests at the launch this week.
Speaking about the museum’s new home, with tongue firmly in cheek, Sir Bobby Charlton said: “I love the game of football and I love living in Manchester. I do love Manchester United. I don't love particularly Man City. But this is a museum for everybody, the whole world can come and see about the beautiful game.”
