An amazing menu of music will cater for all tastes at this year's Bolton Food and Drink Festival.
Rock, retro and even classical will be performed by more than 60 different artists on two stages over the Bank Holiday weekend (Aug 25 – 28) in a packed live music programme.
On the Sunday evening, Aziz Ibrahim, who was the guitarist for the last Stone Roses performance at the 1996 Reading Festival, will play a set on the new main music stage in Le Mans Crescent.
Headlining on that stage on Friday night will be the town’s rising stars Jordan Allen. (Image above)
The indie four-piece have just enjoyed sell-out gigs, joining the line-up of Isle of Wight and Dot to Dot festivals.
Other bands featured will be Cleargreen, Sittin Pretty, The Jade Assembly and Our Fold.
On Saturday, Northern Soul singer Johnny Pryer and Electro 80s top the bill.
Tommy Holland – winner of King of Britain 2017 and described as the best Elvis tribute in the country - will perform on the Sunday.
On Monday headliners are Good Foxy from Clitheroe and Bolton’s own reggae four-piece Jeramiah Ferrari.
Over the weekend, there will also be performances by the Bolton Ukulele Group, award-winning Eagley Brass Band and festival jazz favourites Hot Potato Syncopators.
There will be even more music performed live on a second stage, next to the Real Ale and Cider Bar in Victoria Square
The live music areas are free entry and no tickets are required.
The festival is organised by Bolton Council, in association with Aldi.
Leader of Bolton Council, Cllr Cliff Morris, said: "We have aimed to make our festival about more than just food and drink - we want to have top class entertainment for the whole family and with this line-up of live music over the four days we have managed to achieve just that.
“The music stage and bar area on Le Mans is new and we think it will be a hit. The stages also have seating areas to accommodate around 200 each so there will be plenty of seats for people.”
Dawn Price, who has organised the music for the festival, said: “We are really excited about the number and quality of acts we have managed to attract to Bolton for the festival. Like the festival, the live music has grown incredibly popular and we are proud that there is something for every taste.”
Music runs from 11.30am to 10.30pm on Friday, noon to 10.30pm Saturday and Sunday, and 11.30am to 6.30pm on Monday on the main stage. (See the full line up below)
