FAME sells; it's a fact. There's a reason celebrity faces are sought after to endorse every product imaginable, from the obvious choices of make up and haircare to the lesser known but still celeb endorsed goats milk and payment schemes. If a celebrity has it, wears it, eats it, drinks it or drives it then we're supposed to want it.
"We're very similar to Celeb Boutique, in fact we're from the same warehouse but we're a lot cheaper."
The fashion industry has cottoned on to this fact and is holding onto it tight.
MissCelebStyle is a new online store with celebrity inspired designs
One savvy entrepreneur who has noticed this market trend is Justine Gordon from Prestwich. She runs SUNdays, one of the largest beauty salons in Manchester and has now decided to take on the fashion world too with her online boutique MissCelebStyle.
"My love for clothes has progressed into a business. I speak a lot with the customers in my salon and get an idea of what they want and their needs and then I translate that into the website and the boutique," says MissCelebStyle owner Justine Gordon proudly.
"I have always been business minded and have owned my own business since I was 18. Being in the beauty industry I always had my eye on fashion; the two go hand in hand."
The e-commerce market is booming and fashion websites are aplenty but Gordon isn't worried about getting lost in the crowd. She explained, "There are lots of websites out there, but we wanted to be sure we could offer cheaper clothing that was still good quality."
MissCelebStyle is similar to popular label Celeb Boutique - only less expensive
Offering celebrity inspired looks and designs, Gordon is confident she can beat the competition. She says, "We're very similar to Celeb Boutique, in fact we're from the same warehouse but we're a lot cheaper."
The online boutique only launched in February of this year but already it is making progress in the fashion industry. Gordon proudly tells me how the website is growing, "We're still very much in the beginning stages, and it's all just about building the brand but we've been featured in Company magazine, Hello! magazine as well as others.
"I think our website gives a bigger impression and that we're a huge company but there's only nine of us. We've already had a good response for such a new website, and we're hoping to push it even further with billboards.etc"
