Top 5 Breakout Moments
- You might not think being locked up in a room is romantic but think again. Breakout Manchester’s Madchester room played host to their very first marriage proposal earlier this year.
- Love is definitely in the air at Breakout Manchester. As well as a proposal, another couple came and played straight from getting married at the registry office – bouquet and wedding dress included.
- Ironically, Breakout was broken in to rather than broken out of last year. It was a difficult time for staff but through the public support and the increased awareness, Breakout Manchester has managed to turn even its problems into positives.
- People love Breakout but sometimes it really connects with people. When a group of disengaged kids came down with their support workers and confounded expectations with their teamwork and the way they got involved, it was a really special moment.
- Last but not least, opening seven rooms in twelve months is some achievement on the part of the Breakout staff. The Sabotage room is a particular highlight with its unique puzzles and alternative ending.
