AT some point in the early 00s a new-fangled term emerged: ‘bloggers’.
The special guest vloggers include professional make-up artist and prolific YouTuber Jamie Genevieve
The digital dominance of the new ‘social media superstars’, from fashion bloggers to Youtube make-up gurus, is quite unprecedented.
Admit it, we now can’t get dressed in the morning or draw on an eyebrow without peppy encouragement from our online favourites.
Christmas is when we need their help the most.
With Britain expected to spend £868 billion on Christmas gifts this year, with shoppers splurging an average of £348 on gifts for their loved ones, it's difficult deciding what on earth to buy.
This December, Manchester Arndale sought gift advice from eight of the city’s Youtube stars, asking them to seek out the shopping centre's best items for its 'Vlogger Christmas Edit LIVE!' event.
Filmed live in Exchange Court (the bit by Yo Sushi), the seasoned video bloggers or 'vloggers' counted down their top ten gifts or items from different festive categories including: party dresses, beauty products, gifts for women, gifts for men and kid’s toys.
The special guest vloggers include professional make-up artist and prolific YouTuber Jamie Genevieve, alongside beauty and fashion guru Jennie Jenkins, who boasts a huge 480k following on her ‘BeautybyJJ’ YouTube channel. Not forgetting the kids this Christmas, six-year-old Harry Connor from Denton made his debut as a YouTuber by counting down his top ten toys for kids in Manchester Arndale.
