JW Lees brings home award
MANCHESTER family brewer JW Lees has just picked up a prestigious industry accolade, being crowned Best Brewing Pub Company at the recent Publican Awards 2019. The renowned awards have been running for 28 years and recognise excellence across the pub sector, celebrating some of the best operations in the pub industry.
Organised by leading drinks trade title The Morning Advertiser, in association with Sky, a special awards ceremony took place on 12 March at Battersea Evolution in London’s Battersea Park, with1,400 guests and proceedings compered by comedian and chat show host Alan Carr.
Middleton-based JW Lees – who run a number of pubs and hotels in the North West and North Wales – won in the prestigious Best Brewing Pub Company category.
Middleton-based JW Lees – who run a number of pubs and hotels in the North West and North Wales, including The Stanneylands – won in the prestigious Best Brewing Pub Company category, which celebrates the best companies who operate both a successful brewery and a managed or tenanted/leased pub estate or both. Shortlisted finalists in the category along with JW Lees were Lincoln Green, North Brewing and Titanic.
