They still offer 2-4-1 pies on Mondays but now these handmade pie purveyors are going one better, with 2-4-1 Sunday roast pies (on Sundays, of course). THE ALLOTMENT - 8 courses for £55

Veganism apparently saw a 360% rise last year and its popularity is still sprouting like an enoki mushroom. The upcoming Northern Vegan Festival has upgraded to Manchester Central this month, owing to visitor numbers, and there’s now a vegan eatery for practically every need; from hasty snacking to high-end dining. The Allotment is undoubtedly the latter but its taster menu costs less than £7 a course, right down to the rhubarb millefeuille with a chocolate liquorice truffle.

BLACK DOG - Free Sunday roasts on Sunday 2 April

Black dog roast is already a bargain: for just a tenner you get roast sirloin of beef or honey-roast belly pork with crackling and six different trimmings. But for one day only they’re offering a bargain that trumps even their own, with free roasts for 100 lucky diners - 50 at the NWS branch, 50 at NQ.
