Photographer Chris Keller-Jackson rounds-up all of the best pics and outfits from ComicCon 2022
Comic Conventions are always a hot and sweaty affair. In part due to the amount of camera equipment I carry, in part due to the crowds of attendees in rather confined spaces, and in part, all the fur, leather, plastic and foam used to create the sometimes elaborate costumes of the Cosplayers.
This year's affair at BEC Manchester (when did it stop being Bowler's?) was certainly a great, if very hot, event.
Below are a few examples of the "best dressed" Cosplayers, players who entered the Cosplay Masquerade on the event stage and for me, the highlight of the weekend, meeting and listening to the child cast of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
Not the Tim Burton variety – the original, with sadly passed Gene Wilder and Roy Kinnear. The remaining children, Charlie Bucket (Peter Ostrum), Augustus Gloop (Michael Bollner), Mike TeeVee (Paris Themmen) and Veruca Salt (Julie Dawn Cole) were all there signing autographs and speaking to visitors along with Rusty Goffe, one of the Ommpa Loompas and a Jawa in Star Wars.
