LONELY PLANET is opening its first UK store at Manchester Airport next month.
The store will open to all travellers flying out of Terminal 1 from Thursday 5 July.
Lonely Planet, co-founded by Tony Wheeler and his wife, Maureen, started in 1973 and the company has grown into one of the most loved travel brands in the world.
Tony will be at the store on the opening day to share some of his recent travel adventures and take questions.
The store at Manchester’s Terminal 1 is only the second of its kind in the world, and follows the success of Lonely Planet’s Sydney Airport store.
The store will offer travellers access to the full range of Lonely Planet guides, a selection of travel products and a world of inspiration to enhance their travel experience through a digital interactive hub and in-store experts.
