IN Bloom is one very very pretty bar complete with flowers, gravel and a great view. It's sunshine central, catching the rays from lunch till evening as the sun dips behind the western edge of Spinningfields.
Get a burger cooked medium rare with onions, tomatoes, relish, the works and you won't find a moister juicier burger in the city.
There's perfect people watching here as folk come along and sunbathe on the deckchairs or take it easy watching the big screen lounging on the lawns of the magnificently reconfigured Hardman Square.
In Bloom comes from James Wrigley of Fluid Bars (they also have a 'pop-up' at the Quays) and is a sweet space that has taken the theme of 'green and pleasant' and run with it.
Wrigley told Confidential: "Mike Ingall of Spinningfields was walking his dog at the Quays and saw what we were doing there and liked it. So we worked together on creating this. People seem to love the open air nature of the bar, its design and all the greenery we've brought in. We're pretty proud of it."

The design is by James Darwent Architecture Ltd and all involved should be proud. This place works completely as an open air drinking den.
But it's not just about the booze. There's also the cracking cooking of Aussie Adrian Bailey, a man with plenty of pedigree.
A fuller menu is being developed as we speak but already Bailey is sourcing quality local to produce to helpo create excellent hot dogs and burgers - the latter from Frosts Butchers, sausages from Bobby's Bangers.
Both hotdogs and burgers are winners. Get a burger cooked medium rare with onions, tomatoes, relish, the works and you won't find a moister juicier burger in the city - main picture at the top of the page. Get a Toulouse sausage hotdog, all texture, flavour and punch and you'll have a smile a mile wide.
Lovely Toulouse sausage hotdog
There's sandwiches and soups for the less meaty amongst you.
Also look out for In Bloom's events such as outdoor games, croquet on the lawn, cocktail and beer tutorials.
Now take at look at these pictures, is there a more handsome summer venue in the city centre?
In Bloom is at Spinningfields, M3 3JE.
