ON Friday 2 November the Manchester Hoteliers Association (MHA) will host its prestigious Ball and Awards Ceremony at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly, in association with World Class Service and The Manchester College.
The event will see up to 600 hoteliers come together for a night of celebration, great entertainment and fine dining as well as hosting five awards.
The MHA Ball is the largest event in the industry calendar in the North West and for the past six years it has committed to supporting hospitality industry charity Hospitality Action. This year the MHA is hoping to reach a fundraising total of 100K – an enormous contribution that will make a difference to the charity’s work in the region.
The event will see up to 600 hoteliers come together for a night of celebration, great entertainment and fine dining as well as hosting five awards celebrating the emerging talent, brightest new star, the employee of the year (front of house), employee of the year (back of house) and the Howard Raynor lifetime achievement award.
These awards are presented on the night, following citations from the fifty members of the hoteliers association and face to face interviews against a clear criteria developed by World Class Service and The Manchester College.
The theme of the night will be New York, reflected in the line up of musicians, including the New York Dancers, opera singer John Cristos and soul singer Victor Hayes.
A charity raffle will take place on the night, with prizes generously donated by key businesses connected to the hospitality industry and the local area. Just some of the many prizes on offer are:
- A pamper experience for two at Sienna Spa, Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel
- A meal for two with a bottle of house wine at the Assheton Arms, Downham
- An overnight stay in Cranage Hall, Cheshire.
A limited number of tickets are still available at the event. To book tickets please call Sheila on: 0161 835 8958 or email: joness@radisson.com Last year Hospitality Action spent just under £50,000 helping those in need across the North West.
