The Cornerhouse event on April 16th revealed a hidden gem of an event venue to some of our Heroes.
Thirty Heroes and their plus ones were invited to an evening of wine and canapés to get to know Cornerhouse's range of private hire spaces, available for hire for birthdays, weddings, meetings and business functions.
What our heroes found was a great open space benefiting from lots of natural light, with a private balcony which proved a popular spot on this particularly warm evening.
Sipping glasses of red and white wine, our heroes sampled Cornerhouse's range of canapés. These tasty bites included a Crab, Crème Fraîche and Buckwheat Blini, a Smoked Duck Wrap with Ginger and Chilli Chutney and Baby Potato Skins filled with Goats Cheese and Leek. They went down very well with our Heroes, gaining high marks for both quantity and quality.
As the Heroes mingled, the atmosphere was created by a DJ on the decks, while a black and white film was projected onto the walls. This event, which ran from 6pm-8pm, revealed a charming event space that many of our Heroes were not previously aware of. Hero Sally thought it was “a great venue for a small party,” while Darren said, “the space will be a perfect venue for any upcoming work events we have. Very modern with subtle touches of tradition in the beams.” 'The food was delicious and the service friendly,” concluded fellow Hero Penny. “I would definitely consider using it for a function.”
