The five-course tasting menu along with wine – which James Martin will match to the food – is on offer here. As ingredients are sourced in keeping with availability, there may be some changes, but think along the lines of Cumbrian rabbit with lovage and black garlic, mackerel sashimi with fennel yoghurt, cep parpadelle with hen-of-the-woods wild mushrooms and chestnut, and pine-roasted wood pigeon with black pudding, fig ketchup and celeriac. To finish, we’re liking the sound of roasted pear with caramelised white chocolate ice cream, pumpkin and cashew nuts.
The five-course tasting menu with flight of five matching wines usually costs £47.50 per person (or £30 during Jan and Feb), but you could be in with the chance of winning dinner for two just by entering our competition below.
