Eyes down for a tequila-fuelled bingo party at Black Dog NQ

Red-blooded passion to win will be running high

Think bingo is all blue rinses and two fat ladies? Well Black Dog Ballroom hangout, The Bunker, is about to revolutionise all that when they bring Gringo Bingo to the good people of Manchester on Wednesday 10 August.

The Latin-themed event is part of the Manchester Loves Cocktails celebration taking place all over the city. El Jimador’s Gabriel Ayala will be hosting the party which starts at 6pm and introducing us gringos or non-Mexicans to the joys of ‘loteria’. Mexican-born Ayala will also be your bonkers bingo caller for the night.

Unlike bog-standard bingo which uses balls and numbers, Gringo Bingo uses Latino-style pictures; if your picture is called, just mark it off on your card…first one to a full house wins. Who knows? You might even pick up a couple of Spanish words while you’re there. With big prizes up for grabs like bottles of tequila, branded t-shirts and sugar skulls, red-blooded passion to win will be running high so get down early.

There’ll also be a range of special El Jimador cocktails from the refreshing blood orange lagerita to the zing of gringo paloma with tequila, lime, passionfruit and grapefruit soda. They’re perfect for lighting your bingo fire, just £7.50 each or £4.50 with a Manchester Loves Cocktails wristband.

It’s £5 buy-in with a free welcome drink. What are you waiting for?
