THIS week’s look is brought to you by Jo Drew, personal shopper at Topshop in Manchester Arndale – the second biggest Topshop in the UK after London.

Following on from a degree in fashion marketing and Manchester Metroplitan University, Jo has worked in her current role, as a Topshop personal shopper, for almost three years.

Topshop Factory Girl Look 1 Jo wears: Black leather bag with stud detail (£85), ‘Parton’ boots (£120), leather trousers (£42), necklace (£16.50), black top (£14)

The Role: Jo said: “Every day is different here at Topshop. I have regular clients, seasonal shoppers and then customers who come in for an emergency outfit such as for a date that evening! Some customers come in with a particular look in mind. Alexa Chung’s name comes up a lot. Lots of our customers want to achieve her effortlessly stylish look.

“The most rewarding part of the job is helping customers who lack confidence and perhaps feel intimidated by the array of trends they see on our mannequins. I show them different ways of putting outfits together successfully and I also let them know of new clothes coming in before they actually hit the shop floor. Another rewarding part of the job was when I got to help set up the Melbourne Topshop. I went out to Australia for three months for that.”

Topshop Factory Girl Look 2

Jo wears: Black shoes (£70), shorts (£32), blouse (£36), clutch bag (£35)

Topshop Co-Ord Fluro Boucle JacketThe Look: This 60s, feminine mod look, as chosen by Jo, takes a lot of inspiration from Sienna Miller in the movie Factory Girl.

“It’s a cutesy look that’s going to be big for autumn/winter 2012. Think twin-sets, monochrome knits and fluro tweeds” said Jo.

As the key piece for the 'Factory Girl' look, Jo chose this fluro tweed jacket (£65). The two Factory Girl looks above are worn with this trend-setting jacket.

Get The Look: Both outfits are available from Topshop, Manchester Arndale. You can view more pieces from the ‘Factory Girl’ look here. Topshop’s personal shopping service can reserve stock so you don’t miss out on popular pieces such as those featured in this article.
