Corrie celebs and Gareth Gates amongst guests at the charity bash at The Lowry Hotel
THE Mirror Ball returned last Friday with another glamorous gathering in aid of local charity Forever Manchester, celebrating its seventh anniversary with a copper-themed bash at The Lowry Hotel.
Show-stopping gowns and familiar faces - including Corrie and reality TV stars - abounded at the annual event; which included a drinks reception, three-course meal and a silent auction hosted by Capital Radio presenters Rob Ellis and Rachel Burke-Davis. With over 40 items spanning Boodles jewellery to The Who tickets and a private box for Pete Tong, this helped to raise thousands for local causes.
Performances, meanwhile, came courtesy of Will Mellor, Lucy Hope and Faye Brookes - who was joined by boyfriend Gareth Gates on guitar for an acoustic rendition of Swept Away.
Founded by Forever Manchester ambassador and celebrity hairdresser Andrew Trott-Barn, the Mirror Ball was sparked following his recovery from a brain tumour in 2009 and has since raised over £300,000.
