MANCHESTER'S got a new festival to top off your summer. Festejar is a three-day fiesta from the makers of Festwich and The Instituto Cervantes, inspired by all things Spain.

Make sure you see guitarist and singer Iza from Barcelona – her intimate, Flamenco-inspired sounds will get your soul singing

It's in the city centre, it's packed with fantastic stuff to hear, eat, drink and experience, and it's free. You don't even need a ticket, just turn up at Albert Square on 5, 6 and 7 September. It's aimed at all ages.

Salsa_De_CubaThe line-up includes some brilliant musicians. Make sure you see guitarist and singer Iza from Barcelona – her intimate, Flamenco-inspired sounds will get your soul singing. And check out YouTube hit Pol 3.14 from Madrid – watch them (and fall in a little bit in love) here.

There's also Break Latino, a Spanish/crossover band fronted by Northern Uproar singer Leon Meya who is originally from Barcelona, plus electronic beats from Alonso D, and an uplifting mix of latin, jazz, funk, reggaeton and salsa from the Cuba Vida Band.

Add to this wine-tasting, street food, taster classes in Spanish and salsa dancing, Latin American percussion workshops, flamenco demos and more, and you've got yourself a weekend of new experiences, new flavours and new sounds.

Spain throws a damn fine festival, and we want a taste of that life-affirming spirit here. Make sure you don't miss out – head to Festejar on 5, 6, and 7 September at Albert Square.
