Last Friday saw the Deansgate bar open its doors for a summer party with guests such as Hollyoaks Jorgie Porter, Kieron Richardson and Steph Waring showing their faces to sample the new menu delights.

Highlights include the Forget-Me-Not (£10.50), which mixes a violet liqueur with lavender syrup, cranberry and lemon juice and a Prosecco miniature. Also on offer was new creation, Jasmine Cascade (£8.50), combining green chartreuse gin, jasmine syrup, lemon, apple and a sprig of rosemary. Presented in a conical glass with dry ice and jasmine essential oil, it’s theatrical as well as a refreshing summer drink.

The menu launch night also saw Elixir’s secret powder room, hidden inside the ladies toilets, offer guests beauty and pampering. Celebrity HD brow specialist Rachael Hall and her team were on hand to tame brows and give makeovers.

The garden party themed night also included the use of a vintage Volkswagen ‘Starchaser’ campervan outside. Guests could sit inside and take photographs adorned with daisy chains, flower garlands and bohemian party props.

Jess and Dan Purnell, owners of Elixir, said, “The response to the new cocktails has been fantastic. We wanted to create something people would talk about and enjoy. For us the experience is everything and with the Garden of Earthly Delights menu you can get all the twists you desire.”
