ELBOW has just announced details of a new album to be released in March 2014 which will be followed by a UK arena tour the following month. The band will be bringing their blend of the soaring chorus and the melancholy yet tender lyric to Manchester Phones 4u Arena on Wednesday 9 April.
The as-yet-unnamed album, which will be the band’s sixth studio album, is currently being recorded at Elbow’s headquarters in Blueprint Studios, Salford. Just like with previous albums The Seldom Seen Kid and Build a Rocket Boys!, the mixing and production of the album is being looked after by keyboardist, Craig Potter.
Fans who are quick off the mark will have the chance to pre-order the new album to be delivered in March 2014 as well as an exclusive bundle including Live at Jodrell Bank, a DVD and double CD covering Elbow’s whole performance at the Cheshire observatory and a documentary of the event, to be dispatched immediately. This offer runs for a limited time only on the band’s website.
Elbow tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 4 October with a fan pre-sale on the band’s website on Monday 30 September.
Tickets are priced at £30 / £35 and are available at www.ticketmaster.co.uk and www.gigsandtours.com
