WHILE running marathons and abseiling off buildings are admirable ways to raise money for a good cause, we much prefer the sound of this fine food fundraiser at Heathcotes Brasserie.
“It will be a heart-warming evening full of great food.”
In aid of Hospitality Action – the charity that supports people from the hospitality industry in times of crisis – it's a fantastic dinner created by five celebrity chefs.
Diners will enjoy a champagne and canapé reception followed by a four courses carefully crafted by the chefs working together, with each leading on a course.
So who's in the kitchen? Michelin-starred Paul Heathcote MBE will host the event and take his turn at the stove. He'll be joined by Debbie Halls-Evans – the winner of Channel 4's The Taste; TV regular and charismatic owner of Nutters, Andrew Nutter; executive chef at the Seafood Pub Company and former head chef at Panacea, Antony Shirley; and finally, Carl Noller, who worked at Gordon Ramsay's Aubergine and the Chester Grosvenor Hotel before becoming head chef at Heathcote’s Brasserie.
Paul Heathcote MBE will interview each chef during the evening, and there'll be an auction and raffle with some fantastic lots to bid for.
Tickets for the evening are £65 per person including champagne and canapés, the four course
dinner, wine, coffee and petit fours. The event has been generously sponsored by Boutinot Wines, Wenlock Spring Water and Illy Coffee.
Hospitality Action offers a crucial lifeline to people of all ages, working and retired, from the hospitality industry. Whether they're approached by a chef, chambermaid, school cook or bar staff, they strive to help, whatever the difficulty.
Paul Heathcote said: “Hospitality Action is a charity close to my heart just as the industry is, and working with industry personalities such as Andrew Nutter and Antony is going to be just right.
“It will be a heart-warming evening full of great food. We’re expecting tickets for this event to be in high demand so I’d advise booking as soon as possible in order to secure a place.”
The Celebrity Chef Charity Dinner takes place on Thursday 9 October 2014 at Heathcotes Brasserie in aid of Hospitality Action.
