CASTLEFIELD Market is set to return on Saturday 2 April after moving out of Campfield Hall last August.
The new venue is beautiful and perfect for us to continue to develop
From one historic venue to another, the popular artisan market will now take place at Royal Mills, the Grade II listed former cotton mill on Redhill Street off Great Ancoats Street.
Under the Royal Mill's glass roofed atrium, the markets will be offering visitors the chance to browse and buy unique arts, craft and vintage while enjoying a good selection of street food.
The relaunch event will also see the return of The Pizza Maker and his stone baked fresh pizzas, Tique Chic with their distinctive upcycled furniture, Soapy Skin with their hugely popular skincare range, and Jewel Heritage with their unique pieces of handmade silver jewellery and wares from lots more independent talent. The markets will offer chance to relax with a vinyl session by in-house DJ, Markatron.
Jodie Bannister from Castlefield Events said: “Over the years Castlefield Market has gone from strength to strength, so we hope our new venue, Royal Mills, will continue to keep things fresh whilst retaining the unique atmosphere that was created at Campfield Hall. We’re really excited to get going again.
“The new venue is beautiful and perfect for us to continue to develop and support the things that matter to us.”
While Manchester is undoubtedly a great city in which to shop, more and more people want to know how the things they buy are created. At Castlefield Market, our stall holders are talented and creative people who ethically source, make and produce everything they sell themselves. Our company ethos is to support small independent creators who are concerned with ethical production where nobody is exploited in the process of creating anything.”
The market is set to run every first Saturday of the month from 10am until 4pm.
