Former Emmerdale and Hollyoaks actor James Sutton officially launched his own pop-up acting company in the form of Broken Leg Workshops’ earlier this year and has now announced the dates for the workshops' Manchester launch.
Each course will give a great insight into techniques, on-set etiquette and a chance to act with some of Britain’s finest acting talent.
The courses - which will run on 29th and 30th September at Studio Manchester, Hulme Street - are a unique alternative to drama classes with an emphasis on developing the skills needed for acting in front of a camera.
Each 2 day workshop aims to provide students with a thorough insight into the world of television acting and is suitable for anyone, regardless of prior acting experience.
Performing in front of top of the range camera equipment, students work on scripts, individually and in groups. In addition, they also receive honest advice from Broken Leg Workshops’ team of professional actors and get the opportunity to perform in front of industry experts such as casting directors and agents.
The cream of the television crop will be on hand to dish out their words of wisdom and experiences, including Mark Charnock (Emmerdale‘s Marlon Dingle) and Danny Miller (Emmerdale’s Aaron Livesy), Bronagh Waugh (Hollyoaks Cheryl Brady /BBC’s The Fall), Jessica Fox (Hollyoaks Nancy Osbourne) and many more.
Each course will give a great insight into techniques, on-set etiquette and a chance to act with some of Britain’s finest acting talent.
“Myself and the team cannot wait to take Broken Leg Workshops’ to Manchester”, states James Sutton. “We are extremely passionate about what we do and aim to help and support any budding Actors or Actresses trying to make it within TV and film”.
