NEVER before exhibited outside its namesake gallery, The Saatchi Gallery Art Opus is one of the world’s most prestigious art books and will be on display and available to buy at Aviva Investors Manchester Art Fair, the North’s largest art fair.
The Saatchi Gallery Art Opus is the largest and most comprehensive celebration in book form of the Saatchi Gallery, London, and its enviable art collection.
Weighing in at over 40kg and comprised of 850 pages each measuring half a metre square, The Saatchi Gallery Art Opus costs £3,000 and chronicles the work exhibited at The Saatchi Gallery over the past two decades, including that of hugely influential artists including Lucian Freud, Damien Hirst, Andy Warhol and Zhang Xiaoghang.

Opus Media CEO Karl Fowler invites art fans to interact with The Saatchi Gallery Art Opus and appreciate the craftsmanship of the book’s structure, the images and essays included, and the sheer task of creating such a mammoth collection of art history.
Only 100 copies of the Opus have been created for worldwide release, with seven allocated for sale at Aviva Investors Manchester Art Fair.
Speaking on the decision to display The Saatchi Gallery Art Opus at the largest art fair outside London, Fowler said: “We really wanted to take the Opus beyond London and allow as many people as possible to see it up close.” Fowler continued: “Aviva Investors Manchester Art Fair is a prestigious and vibrant art fair with a great history and acclaimed exhibitors, we feel humbled to be able to showcase with the fair in this way.”
Thom Hetherington, CEO of Aviva Investors Manchester Art Fair, added: “Over the last 11 years we have sold more than £4 million of contemporary art to buyers and collectors across the North, proving that there is a huge and growing collector base within the region.
“We launched the art fair with an auction of exclusive pen and ink works by Damian Hirst, and now in our eleventh year we are providing a platform to celebrate the unprecedented achievements of Charles Saatchi and his eponymous gallery. It feels entirely right to have such seminal names represented at one of the largest and most prestigious art fairs in the country.”
