Chefs

Highlights include the spectacular ‘Magnificent Seven' Gala dinner on the Friday evening. Set in the beautiful Cloisters at the Holiday Inn Bolton Centre, guests will enjoy a seven-course taster menu from two-star Michelin chef Michael Caines alongside regional stars including Andrew Nutter, Debbie Halls-Evans and Sean Wilson. Tickets are a snip at just £55 – and that includes cocktails and nibbles on arrival too (courtesy of Manchester's very own SoLIta). Buy yours here.

Sticking with the big name chefs, we've got our eye on the celebrities appearing in the main Festival Marquee on Victoria Square. Festival favourite James Martin will be making his sixth appearance, and Gino D'Acampo will be back in Bolton for a second time. Completing the line-up is acclaimed chef and TV presenter, John Torode. Tickets are just £5 / £8 for all three demos but are selling quickly so book now. Buy yours here.

There'll also be free cookery demos taking place daily in Market Place Shopping Centre Chef Marquee and in the lifestyle hall in Bolton Market (Friday and Saturday only). Head there to watch Andrew Nutter, Sean Wilson and, winner of Channel 4's The Taste, Debbie Halls-Evans doing their thing. For the full demo timetable visit, click here.

Finally, don't miss the markets which will be bursting with artisan produce and fresh fruit and veg. Stock up on home-made breads and craft cheeses, and snack on unique street food. KRO bar will be back with its festival bar and SoLIta will be there too. Live music and street entertainers will create a real festival atmosphere.

It's all happening on 22 to 25 August in Bolton Town Centre. Make sure you're there.
