About the blogger:
Being a parent requires a lot of patience but there are limits. From supermarket aisles to shopping centres, we’ve all spotted a red-faced child, with tears streaming down their cheeks and a puzzled parent stood next to them.
Tired of trying to reason with his son, one parent has taken to Tumblr to share his daily struggle.
Greg Pembroke, a dad from Rochester in New York, documents the behaviour of his two sons – 20-month-old Charlie and his three-year-old brother. While Charlie struggles to comprehend why he is not allowed to do anything he wants, we are treated to an insight into the more difficult side of parenthood.
The initial idea came after Greg began posting the odd picture of his offspring’s tantrums on Facebook. While the blog has only been online a week or so it has quickly gone viral, with the Pembrokes recently appearing on Good Morning America.
Why we love it:
Who hasn’t gasped at the unreasonable demands of a child before they descend into a complete and public meltdown? This blog takes a look at strops from the parents’ perspective with the posts ranging from his son’s distress at not being allowed to eat candy off the floor, to being bad at eating yoghurt. Sometimes even Greg is completely lost as to why his son is crying.
