From Friday 12 to Sunday 14 June (while the weather is still scorching - fingers crossed), twenty hot tubs, 120 guests per night, a licensed bar and a 'tub side waiter' will take to Islington Mill warehouse in Salford. Originally launched in 2006 as a private party for friends in Exeter, the parties went public in Hackney and now 'the 'only event in the world to combine Hot Tubs and cinema' has staged successful shows in London, New York and Ibiza. Tickets are £20.

This weekend Manchester will celebrate everything great about this city with the return of Manchester Day. Now in its sixth year, Manchester Day has in previous years celebrated the city’s status as the world’s first industrial city; the birthplace of the computer, atomic theory and graphene. A 2000 strong, one mile long parade with a dazzling array of giant characters and vibrant costumes will set off from Castlefield's Liverpool Road at 1pm on Sunday.
