Lord of The Pies plans to open on Barlow Moor Road
LORD of the Pies, an award-winning pie shop with branches in Stockport and Macclesfield, is planning to open a third branch in Chorlton, in the space next to the one occupied by Bosu Body Bar at 559 Barlow Moor Road.
The savoury bakery was opened in 2011 by piemaker Oliver Doyle and has gone on to win a number of gold, silver and bronze medals at the British Pie Awards, as well as being named ‘Independent Retailer of the Year’ in the 2014 Stockport Business Awards.
Lord of the Pies has built up a great reputation over the years for their generously sized pies made using excellent golden pastry and filled with prime, often locally sourced ingredients. The seasonal menu changes frequently and signature pie varieties include The Stockport Pie, made with ground beef stew, Lyonnaise potatoes and Robinson’s Old Tom Ale, as well as Confit Pork and Black Pudding Pie.
Pies are available to eat in (£4.20) or take away (£3.50) and can be eaten on their own or with a choice of reasonably priced sides such as three types of mash, mushy peas or braised red cabbage.
According to the license application filed this week, the Chorlton branch will open every day from noon until midnight.
