ALMOST Famous, the North West's chief burger-pushers and Americana frontrunners, have stormed up the M62 and opened their fourth operation in Leeds.
The Manchester-based indie restaurant brand have now opened four units in less than a year, two in Manchester, one in Liverpool and now in Leeds.
Rumours have it Beautiful Drinks, who also operate Northern Quarter's Home Sweet Home, Keko Moku and Luck, Lust, Liquor and Burn, are now eyeing up the North for their fifth Famous venture.
Around 400 people packed into the launch party of the new 9,000 sq ft, two-floor unit on Great George Street, with a double-decker full of Manchester groupies bussed over to join along in the Leeds ding-dong.
There was laughs, cries, boys, girls, burgers, balloons, baconnaise, crackpots, some bloke from Corrie and bottle after bottle of wanton abandon.
