JOIN the cast and crew at the world premiere of the film Girl Shaped Love Drug – this weekend at Greater Manchester Film Festival.

It's a modern day love story set in Manchester about how coincidences bring two strangers together and take them on a beautiful, life-changing adventure, in just one day.

Featuring music from David Bowie, Puressence, The Eels and Tim Booth, and starring Sacha Dhawan (The National Theatre's History Boys) and Rachel Austin (Sightseers), it will make you see the city in a new light.

Simon Powell, the film's writer and director, said, “I wanted to create an offbeat love story set in old Manchester, in black and white, with a tiny cast and minimum locations.

“We allowed scenes to play out like theatre in much of the film to create a natural feel and to give the actors the opportunity to breathe, be spontaneous and grow within a scene. I’m delighted with what we achieved.”

Girl Shaped Love Drug will be shown at the Odeon Printworks at 8pm on Saturday 6 October. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with cast and crew. Tickets are £10. Buy yours here.
