Maple syrup? Melted chocolate? Or are you more of a savoury character? Pancake Corner, a new creperie with a Christmas pop-up stand in Spinningfields and a permanent shop in Urmston, has all your favourite fillings and then some.
For a cheap treat, you can't get much better than a hot pancake with a sprinkling of sugar and a squeezing of lemon
It opened in Urmston in September 2011 to an eager reception from pancake-loving locals, and went down a treat when it popped up at the Manchester Food and Drink Festival – hence the decision to venture into the city centre once more.
Pancake Corner's Christmas pop-up is now serving hot, just flipped pancakes next door to the ice rink and helter skelter in Spinningfields. It's open seven days a week from 11am to 9pm until Sunday 6 January.
The menu is full of tempting options. Start with a savoury pancake such as salami and melted mozzarella, or roast chicken with seasoned mayonnaise, before you dive into the sweet options.
They have all the classic fillings plus creative concoctions such as bananas, toffee and crushed hazelnuts and Xmassy flavours such as apple, Nutella and cinnamon.
All the pancakes are between £3-£4. For a cheap treat, you can't get much better than a hot pancake with a sprinkling of sugar and a squeezing of lemon. Head to Spinningfields or Urmston for one of life's simple pleasures today.
In this competition, you can win pancakes and drinks for four at the original Pancake Corner on Gloucester Road in Urmston.
