“HE'S got one foot in the frying pan and one in the pressure cooker. Believe me, as a bowler, I know that right about now, your bladder feels like an overstuffed vacuum cleaner bag and your butt is kinda like an about-to-explode bratwurst.”
If you take bowling as seriously as Bill Murray’s character in 90s slapstick comedy Kingpin, then this might just be right up your street.
Or lane.
This summer, Dog Bowl is giving people the chance to learn to bowl like a pro with tuition from professional bowler Jo Allsebrook from the British Female Bowling Team.
Jo Allsebrook, who will be competing as part of the UK team in the 2013 Bowling World Championships in Vegas at the end of August, will teach would-be bowlers techniques such as curling and hooking, and of course how to bowl the perfect strike.
We’re giving away private lessons for up to four people. Lessons will run for two hours on Wednesday afternoons or evenings throughout July and the first week of August. The winner and their guests will also receive a complimentary drink upon arrival.
This competition is now closed. Congratulations to our winner Jan-Louise Blyth.
Dog Bowl is open 12pm - 3am Monday through Thursday, 12pm - 4am Fridays, 10am - 4am on Saturdays and from 10am - 3am on Sundays. Children are welcome in the venue 10am - 3pm at weekends and it will also open earlier in school holidays.
