FROM slime-making to hoverboard-riding, the Mad Science Zone at Bolton Food Festival has all sorts of weird and wonderful shows, experiments and workshops to keep your kids entertained.
The Mad Science Zone is suitable for children aged two to fourteen years old and is open from 10am – 5pm on every day of the festival.
Kids can indulge their sweet tooth whilst finding out about changing states by making their own candy floss. They can learn about aerodynamics in a paper plane challenge – will their paper plane manage to fly through all three hoops?
They can also be awe-inspired by a demonstration of top science experiments in the hourly Mad Science Show.
All in all, there are seven different science zones, all teaching something new and exciting through a range of hands-on activities and demos.
