MC Café Bar and Grill at Abode Hotel has just unveiled a new menu and to celebrate, they're giving away a meal for two there with a bottle of wine.
The chefs are offering up the favourites here. The type of dishes you can't help gravitate towards. It's not box-ticking here though – there's a talented kitchen team at Abode so you can be sure they'll be done right with carefully-sourced ingredients and flair.
For starters, we like the sound of the Oriental crispy duck with watercress and bean sprout salad, or the grilled salmon gravlax with egg and red onion salad, and horseradish crème frâiché.
For your main, you have a choice of steaks – sirloin, rump, bacon chop, chicken and so on – all served with grilled field mushroom, slow roasted tomato, hand cut chips and garnished with watercress. If you're not in the mood for a grill, how about Lancashire Shepherd's pie with minted spring vegetables or beer battered haddock, with hand cut chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce?
Desserts include traditional puds such as steamed treacle sponge pudding with lemon crème frâiché, and warm apple pie with vanilla custard and toffee apple ice cream.
MC Café Bar and Grill is the casual dining option at Abode Manchester so you can also go there for drinks and nibbles – their Ploughmans and Antipasti sharing platters just right for an after work wind-down. They do a range of offers throughout the week including rump steak and chips with a glass of wine for £9.95 on Tuesdays.
