Byron, famous for its fabulously fresh hamburgers, turns ten this year! To celebrate, we’ve been bringing back six of our favourite specials since we opened our doors – one a fortnight from Independence Day until 25 September – now with unlimited French fries.
The special burger – along with a special beer – swaps every two weeks, and so far we’ve had the Uncle Sam, Miami Slice and Ronaldo, with the Roquefort and Bunzilla on their way. Right now, it’s the Gizzmo, hitting a plate near you until 28 August.
This fortnight’s special was created by Gizzi Erskine and inspired by fancy cheese on toast number Welsh rarebit. The British beef patty is topped with a delicious gooey mixture of melted Cheddar and stout, plus a garnish of lettuce, tomato, red onion and mayo. All stuffed into a non-glazed bun with unlimited fries on the side, the Gizzmo will keep you from going hungry.
To wash your food down, top craft brewers Beavertown – longtime friends of Byron and on our beer list since 2013 – have come up with a special white IPA. Little Furry Animal is a zesty, tart and tropical number with a bit of a kick at 5.5%, and a perfect match to the Gizzmo.
All tenth birthday burgers are a tenner, and birthday beers are £4.75, or you can get the special burger and special beer Birthday Bundle for just £13, with unlimited side orders of Byron’s finger-licking French fries thrown in!
