ONE year in and Masterchef champion Simon Wood’s stylish First Street restaurant has really stepped up to the plate, with terrific tasting menus, amazing à la carte offerings and steak dinners you really just need to sink your teeth into.
The tomahawk at Wood is designed to share between two, and comes with a green peppercorn sauce and duo of sides. It’s a massive rib-eye on the bone, French trimmed, charred on the edges, pink in the middle; a beautiful thing to behold. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: so, so good.
