CREATING a truly enchanting winter wonderland in Heaton Park, the brand-new Lightopia festival will be captivating the public from 21 November to 31 December. Making its debut in Manchester this winter, Lightopia is an immersive and visually dramatic lantern and light festival, and the very first of its kind in the UK and Europe.
With unique interactive installations, spectacular illuminations and incredible lasers plus water-screen multimedia shows, Lightopia is an exploration of light, movement and form that promises to stimulate the senses, create unforgettable memories and provide alternative family fun throughout the festive season.
Guests will be guided through the park by beautiful light trails, leading them on a journey of discovery as each installation responds to the values of harmony, inclusivity and togetherness. It’s both otherworldly and educational, exploring nature and human experiences through artistic intervention. Live entertainment will also be part of the Lightopia package, with acrobatic displays, musical performances and family rides available to enjoy every night. There will also be a host of food and refreshment options available for all tastebuds.
