Full-bodied British cooking that'll get you excited about food again

BLOODY hell, these guys know how to cook. That's the first thought that goes through our heads when we eat at Beastro – the very Mancunian independent in Spinningfields.

The second is, why don't we come here more often, because this is a menu stacked with dishes we want to try.

The evening menu at Beastro lets their kitchen team show off their craftsmanship and the prime quality of their locally-sourced produce.

Cosy interiors beckon

The handiwork of a butcher-chef team, it's a dream partnership that results in intensely tasty dishes such as the Cumbrian 'Barnsley Lamb Chop' with lamb kidney, garlic, rosemary, triple cooked chips and minted peas. And the Cumbrian ox cheek slow braised in smoked porter and served with creamy mash and tender stem. (We had to list every ingredient because they all sounded so good).

Dishes like these are best served with a bottle of something full-bodied and ruby red. In this competition, you can win both: a three-course dinner for two, and a bottle of wine to share. That's a meal ticket we'd really like to have in our pocket.

To enter the competition to win dinner at Beastro, log in then press enter.

The competition has ended.
